Cassia powder is an all-natural, deep conditioner that nourishes your hair; making it irresistibly soft, brilliantly shiny, and beautifully silky. It can also be blended with henna powder to add subtle golden highlights.

What's Included

100 grams fresh cassia leaf powder, packaged in a resealable pouch to maintain freshness.

How To Use

Use on it's own or blended with henna.

Alone, it's a 100% herbal deep conditioning treatment for your hair. It does not add color on it's own, but can add subtle golden highlights in the sun.

When blended with henna, it will add golden highlights to the red tones of the henna. Get started with our simple natural hair color recipes.

Shelf Life & Storage

Freshest during the first year, but when stored properly shelf life is 2-4 years. To maintain freshness, store in a cool, dark location. After opening the package, reseal tightly to minimize exposure to air.

Ingredients

100% cassia leaf powder (cassia obovata)

USDA / OTCO certified organic, and the farm is a current registered member of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements).

Amount Needed

The amount of powder required to dye your hair will vary based on the thickness and length of your hair. If you have thick hair, or perhaps it's thin but you've been told you have "a lot of hair", you may want to choose the next higher quantity of powder. The total grams listed are the combined amount of powders, if you are blending them.

Chin length hair: 100 grams
Shoulder length: 200 grams
Long (4" past shoulders): 300 grams
Add 100 grams for each additional 4" of hair

How do you ship your ready to use henna?

Great question! Ready to use henna (and our jagua-henna blend) is extremely perishable.
We prepare and plan for it to be in transit, so by the time it reaches you it's in perfect condition.

We ship it frozen so that it can gradually thaw and "dye release" while in transit. By the time it arrives, it will be room temp and at peak freshness!

Get it right into the freezer, and keep it frozen whenever it's not being used.

Is henna and jagua safe for eyebrows & freckles?

Yes! Since our henna and jagua are only made with natural ingredients (that's why they're so perishable), they are safe for all your skin. That said, we always recommend a patch test and instructions are included with every order.

What's the shelf life of henna and jagua?

In powdered form, henna and jagua will last a couple of years or longer. Once mixed and ready to use, keep them frozen for best longevity.

In the freezer, ready to use jagua will last 12 months, henna and jagua-henna blend will last 6 months in the freezer.
