Description

Pure, 100% certified organic fresh indigo leaf powder sourced directly from the grower in India.

Indigo mixes up to a dark blue color if mixed alone. Indigo is usually combined with henna powder to achieve dark brown or black hair color. It will not easily dye the hair on it's own without multiple applications. Indigo does not stain skin or nails.

Shelf Life & Storage

Freshest during the first year, but when stored properly shelf life is 2-4 years. To maintain freshness, store in a cool, dark location. After opening the package, reseal tightly to minimize exposure to air.

Ingredients

100% certified organic indigo leaf powder (indigofera tinctoria)

USDA / OTCO certified organic, and the farm is a current registered member of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements).

Amount Needed

The amount of powder required to dye your hair will vary based on the thickness and length of your hair. If you have thick hair, or perhaps it's thin but you've been told you have "a lot of hair", you may want to choose the next higher quantity of powder. The total grams listed are the combined amount of powders, if you are blending them.

Chin length hair: 100 grams
Shoulder length: 200 grams
Long (4" past shoulders): 300 grams
Add 100 grams for each additional 4" of hair

How do you ship your ready to use henna?

Great question! Ready to use henna (and our jagua-henna blend) is extremely perishable.
We prepare and plan for it to be in transit, so by the time it reaches you it's in perfect condition.

We ship it frozen so that it can gradually thaw and "dye release" while in transit. By the time it arrives, it will be room temp and at peak freshness!

Get it right into the freezer, and keep it frozen whenever it's not being used.

Is henna and jagua safe for eyebrows & freckles?

Yes! Since our henna and jagua are only made with natural ingredients (that's why they're so perishable), they are safe for all your skin. That said, we always recommend a patch test and instructions are included with every order.

What's the shelf life of henna and jagua?

In powdered form, henna and jagua will last a couple of years or longer. Once mixed and ready to use, keep them frozen for best longevity.

In the freezer, ready to use jagua will last 12 months, henna and jagua-henna blend will last 6 months in the freezer.

Organic henna & indigo

I used the organic henna and indigo and the results are superior to any henna/indigo I've tried before. I grew out my silver hair in recent years but after dabbling with these dyes I am totally invested in maintaining my new rich color!
